UMaine 2026 Sheep Shearing School
This two-day workshop is for individuals interested in learning to shear sheep on the producer or professional level. Topics covered during the school include crutching and full-body shearing.

Wool Pool (at NELE)
We're excited to announce that the Maine Sheep Breeders Association is bringing back a graded commercial wool pool!
Current bids range from $0.40/lb for old wool up to $2.50/lb for Medium and Long grades. Black and colored wool is welcome and desired. We are actively working to develop additional bids to get our growers the best commercial deal possible.
